YOUR WHY
I really do want to become a therapist.
Even as a kid, that was something I wanted to do early on. Back then, I psyched myself out because I thought becoming a therapist would make me discover that I was crazy.
So what changed?
Being in therapy with different therapists. The experience of different trained professionals letting me lead the way as the guide me has made a huge difference. It's given me a boost of confidence and a trust in my knowledge.
Like with my therapy Instagram. Going into it, and still sometimes now, I thought 'I'm not a trained professional, how can I actually help people' yadda yadda.
More and more, I started leaning into simply sharing my journey. Encouraging people, sharing the things I know, being honest about the way I think-- just being myself and knowing that's enough.
And I've done a fairly good job at making healthy decisions when I can, reaching out for help when I need it, and not being so hard on myself.
And being in therapy has also taught me that therapists don't have it together just because they're therapists. They usually also have therapist, their life still lifes at them, etc.
Just like with me being in therapy, becoming a therapist doesn't mean everything's great all the time. It just means you have the resources to guide, help yourself, and or reach out for help when you need it.
Being a therapist would just mean I now have professional papers that back the passion I already have for helping people know and understand that life can be navigated, connection can happen, you can change.
I want to help people change the way they think, so their emotions change and their behaviors follow suit.
I want to help give

DO YOU LOOK LIKE YOUR GOAL? (DO YOU SEE YOURSELF AS CAPABLE? IF SO, HOW CAN THAT CHANGE?)
